They write about us

This is not mamma's food. It's grandma's food!!!

Old school traditional Greek cuisine. What grandma used to cook for us. There are plenty of choices but if you are bored of fish and grilled meat this place offers traditional stove top cooked dishes that you find in Greek homes. Extra tasty food. A hidden gem for locals and tourists.

Terrific Greek Food

This restaurant had about 10-15 traditional Greek main fishes prepared that you can look at and choose or order other items to be prepared. We had 6 adults and ordered several appetizers and a couple of salads, then got 3 main dishes to share. It was all very good and authentic Greek according to our Greek friends. This restaurant is a mile or two from the town of Poros in a quaint area on the shoreline. Pretty drive.

BEAUTIFUL FOOD

We ate here as we do most years when we visit. Big beans are always on my list and they do not disappoint. My partner had chicken and chips and said they were the best chips on the island. Staff are friendly, not very busy but there was a greek night on one of the other taverns.

Excellent food-well priced

Excellent food, well cooked and home cooked. Vassilis actually cooks as well as oversees the taverna. His meat dishes aredelicious as well as his specialties on certain days of the week. Well priced!

Still the best in Neorion!

I ate 3 times here during a 5 night stay, with a friend and also part of a large group of around 40 of us. The service is friendly but not too intrusive and English is spoken well. The selection is good of either preprepared or freshly cooked menu food including catch of the day. Drinks are reasonable too. Good to see the snails are still on the menu, a firm favorite with locals and curious travellers. This place caters well for large groups. On Saturday nights they have Greek music night which is added fun. Try the pork chop (with extension if hungry!) done on the grill and get the peppercorn sauce for added taste! Best pork chop in Poros! We had the prawns in tomato on 1 occassion between 2 of us which was very tasty indeed!

Best taverna in Neorion, one of the best in Poros

Not only does this taverna offer a wide selection of prepared food, including sometimes unusual things like Okra and Snails, they also have a great menu of food to chose from also. I really like the calamari from here but the best dish of all is the 'Pork Steak with extension' This has to be the tastiest and biggest pork steaks I have ever had and very reasonably priced also. If you like peppercorn sauce try this with it too! The service from Vasillis and team has always been very good, even at busy times. The Greek night on Saturday is great fun and costs no extra so its a good value night out. The restaurant is probably one of the most popular on Poros with locals because of the food quality, service and price as well as the fact that they delivery also. A must try if you are in the area!

very nice buffet lunch

Hope its the same Vassilis as the picture i have added its the one we visited is on the road to Love Bay. Large selection of quality local dishes to choice from all on view, very good service. We stopped her for a beer easter saturday and decided on seeing the buffet to stop and take lunch, didn't look that busy.Within an hour the whole restaurant was packed with local families, always a good sign when it comes to food. A complete table for 4 covered with so many dishes 2 were on the chair, beers all in at just over 50 euros and nice people to give your money to
